Fermín vs. Bellingham: the new duel pitting Barcelona against Real Madrid

The great moment of the Spanish footballer once again brought the comparison with the Englishman to the table. Although they play different roles, both have outstanding offensive records.

Fermín López and Jude Bellingham have attacking presence, goals, and the ability to make an impact in important matches. The difference lies in how they reach those numbers. Fermín is characterized by his directness and his appearances in attacking areas, while Bellingham combines that attacking presence with a much broader involvement in Real Madrid's build-up play.

Two midfielders with different skill sets

The Spaniard's performance against Valencia, with direct involvement in three goals, once again showed that he can take center stage when Barcelona needs to decide a match through individual talent as well as collectively.

Lopez is still far from the stature that Jude has within European football. The Englishman has more experience, more prominence, and greater influence at Real Madrid. The comparison, however, begins to make sense when you look at the attacking numbers being produced by the Barcelona player.
