Asif Khan, the United Arab Emirates batter, has accepted a 15-month period of ineligibility after testing positive for a banned substance, a metabolite of mesterolone.The period of ineligibility has been backdated to September 8 2025, when the out of test competition test was conducted. It will run until 7 December 2026.Asif, who has represented UAE in 38 ODIs and 56 T20Is since making his debut in 2022, admitted to a violation of Article 2.1 of the ICC Anti-Doping Code and accepted the sanction through a Case Resolution Agreement with the World Anti-Doping Agency and the International Cricket Council.Asif’s individual results from September 8 2025 until the start of his provisional suspension on December 29 2025 have been disqualified in line with the ICC Anti-Doping Code. This includes all resulting consequences, such as the loss of any medals, points, prize money or prizes.
