Alex Eala honored with painting on Taguig Tenement court

The basketball court at the Taguig Tenement now features a different image on its famous playing grounds.

Usually featuring basketball players, the court now bears the image of Filipino tennis star Alex Eala on its surface.

The painting shows Eala wearing a green shirt, similar to what she wore when she won the DC Open earlier this month.

According to a post by GMA News’ Raffy Tima, the painting is a tribute to Eala and was created by members of the Tenement Visual Artists at Tenement 2.

Eala will face Iva Jovic in an exhibition match on Thursday (Friday morning, Philippine time) in the US Open as she awaits the release of the singles draw, which is also set to be unveiled tomorrow.
