Rangers dominated possession against Dundee United, but were held to a 1-1 draw by Jim Goodwin's stubborn Tangerines.

It was yet another costly result for the Light Blues who are now 11 points behind unbeaten leaders Celtic.

It's the FIFTH time Rangers have dropped Premiership points in just 12 matches this season.

Raging fans voted with their feet, with scores of empty seats visible well before full time.

There were loud boos, too, at the end of the match after what was another below par showing from the Gers.

Celtic great Chris Sutton was less than impressed with what he saw from the Gers and branded the result PATHETIC.

And he reckons that the fed-up supporters are making their feelings clear.

Appearing on BBC 606, Sutton said: "We are not even in December, 11 points behind Celtic.

"It looked to me like a lot of the Rangers fans could not be bothered to go and watch their team.

"It was a pathetic draw against Dundee United for Rangers.

"Is it time up for Philippe Clement?"

Sutton's co-host Robbie Savage attempted to play devil's advocate, and afforded some credit to United.

He replied: "What do you mean a pathetic draw? Are Dundee United not very good?

"Are they bottom? They are fourth. It's third v fourth."

But Sutton responded: "Rangers fans expect better.

"It was a poor performance once again."

Rumours on social media gathered pace on Sunday afternoon that Clement had lost his job at Rangers, with an announcement imminent.

However, despite the speculation, SunSport understands Clement WILL remain Rangers manager.
