National Table Tennis Championships 2025 winners list

Manush Shah and Diya Chitale won the men’s and women’s singles titles, respectively, at the Senior National Table Tennis Championships 2025 at the Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Indoor Stadium in Surat on Sunday.

Manush Shah defeated Payas Jain 4-1 (10-12, 11-6, 11-6, 12-10, 11-8) in the men’s singles table tennis final.

Although Payas, who defeated Olympian Sathiyan Gnanasekaran in the semi-finals, gained the upper hand by clinching the first deuce game, Manush quickly turned the tide to take a 2-1 lead in the match.

In the fourth game, Payas recovered to lead 8-4 but Manush staged a comeback, seizing victory on his second game point.

With a 3-1 advantage, Manush closed out the match in style by winning the fifth game.

In the women’s final, Diya Chitale faced a tougher challenge against two-time national champion Sreeja Akula but came out on top with a scoreline of 4-3 (10-12, 8-11, 13-11, 12-10, 11-8, 9-11, 11-9)

The match saw three intense deuce games with Diya Chitale winning two of them to level the contest at 2-2.

With momentum on her side, Diya unleashed a barrage of attacking shots in the fifth game, forcing Sreeja Akula into committing unforced errors.

Capitalising on the shift, Diya took a 3-2 lead. Sreeja won the sixth game to set up a decider. The decisive seventh game began with Diya earning the first two points.

At the changeover, Diya Chitale held a narrow 5-3 lead but Sreeja quickly levelled at 6-6. Sreeja Akula fought back to take a point’s lead but Diya held her nerve to eventually seal the contest.

Earlier, Diya Chitale and Sreeja Akula combined forces to win gold in the women’s doubles, defeating Suhana Saini and Prithoki Chakraborty 3-2 after dropping the opening game.

In mixed doubles, Poymantee Baisya and Akash Pal defeated Jash Modi and Taneesha Kotecha 3-0 in the final to take the gold.

PB Abhinand and Preyesh Raj Suresh secured victory in the men’s doubles, overcoming Sourav Saha and Aniket Sen Choudhury 3-1.
